The Vishay Dale SMAJ5.0A-E3/5A is a surface-mount TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode with a DO-214AC (SMA) package. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting.
This device features a 5V working voltage (VWM) and a 9.2V clamping voltage (VC) at a peak pulse current (IPP) of 43.5A. It offers a 400W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C (TJ).
Ideal for automated placement, this TVS diode is suitable for applications in consumer, computer, industrial, automotive, and telecommunication sectors. It provides excellent clamping capability and a very fast response time, with low incremental surge resistance.
