The SMAJ45A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other events. It offers 400W peak pulse power capability for single die parts at 10/1000µs waveform.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 45V, maximum clamping voltage of 72.7V at 5.5A peak pulse current, and a typical response time of less than 1ps. The device also provides ESD protection of 30kV air and contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2, and a peak forward surge current rating of 60A.
