The Bourns SMAJ36CA is a bidirectional Zener-type transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in general-purpose applications. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 36 V and a maximum clamping voltage of 58.1 V at a peak pulse current of 6.9 A. The device can handle a minimum peak pulse power of 400 W (10/1000 µs waveform) and a peak forward surge current of 40 A (8.3 ms single half sine wave).
