The SMAJ300A is a 400W transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a standoff voltage of 300V and a maximum clamping voltage of 486V. The device offers a peak pulse current rating of 800mA (8.3ms waveform) and a peak pulse power dissipation of 400W for 10/1000µs waveforms.
This unidirectional TVS diode provides fast response time of typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. It is rated for ESD protection up to 30kV air and 30kV contact per IEC 61000-4-2. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and is stored at -65°C to 175°C.
The SMAJ300A is housed in a surface mount DO-214AC (SMA) package with matte tin lead finish. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and lead-free (Pb-free E3). The part is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
