The SMAJ28A-13-F is a 400W surface mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 28V and a maximum clamping voltage of 45.4V at a peak pulse current of 8.8A (10/1000µs waveform). The device is unidirectional with a single Zener TVS channel.
This TVS diode offers fast response time and excellent clamping capability, making it suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It can handle a peak pulse power of 400W and a forward surge current of 40A (8.3ms single half sine wave). The steady state power dissipation is 1.0W at +75°C lead temperature.
The SMAJ28A-13-F is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package with matte tin lead-free finish. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free, and has an MSL rating of Level 1 (unlimited). The device is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 5000 pieces.
