The SMAJ24CA-E3/5A is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 24 V and a clamping voltage of 38.9 V at a peak pulse current of 10.3 A (10/1000 μs waveform). The device delivers 400 W peak pulse power (300 W above 78 V) and has a maximum power dissipation of 3.3 W at 50°C with an infinite heatsink.
This TVS diode uses a glass passivated chip junction for reliable performance and offers very fast response time.
