The SMAJ24A-E3/61 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay General Semiconductor's SMAJ series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. This device offers a peak pulse power rating of 400W (10/1000 µs waveform) with a reverse standoff voltage of 24V and a maximum clamping voltage of 38.9V.
The TVS diode features a glass passivated chip junction for reliable performance, very fast response time, and low incremental surge resistance. It is available in the industry-standard DO-214AC (SMA) package with matte tin plated leads, making it suitable for automated surface-mount assembly.
