The SMAJ24A-13-F is a 400W surface mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning, inductive load switching, and electrostatic discharge. This unidirectional device features a reverse standoff voltage of 24V and a maximum clamping voltage of 38.9V at a peak pulse current of 10.3A.
The TVS diode utilizes a glass passivated die construction for reliable performance. It offers excellent clamping capability and fast response time. The device is rated for a peak pulse power dissipation of 400W (8.3ms single half sine wave) and a steady state power dissipation of 1.0W at +75°C lead temperature. Maximum forward surge current is 40A.
The SMAJ24A-13-F is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) package, which is suitable for surface mount assembly. The package is molded plastic with UL 94V-0 flammability rating. Moisture sensitivity level is 1 (unlimited). The device is lead-free, halogen and antimony free, and RoHS compliant. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 5000 pieces.
