The SMAJ18A-13-F is a 400W peak pulse power transient voltage suppressor diode from Diodes Incorporated. It is part of the SMAJ series and designed for surface mount applications. This unidirectional device provides protection against voltage transients by clamping at 29.2V.
With a reverse standoff voltage of 18V, it is suitable for 18V nominal voltage lines. The device can handle peak pulse currents up to 13.7A (8/20µs waveform) and has a peak forward surge current capability of 40A for 8.3ms. The clamping voltage is 29.2V at the peak pulse current. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
The device is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) package, which is surface mountable with SMD solder terminations. It is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, halogen and antimony free, and has a UL flammability rating of 94V-0. Moisture sensitivity level is 1 per J-STD-020. Standard packaging is tape and reel with 5000 units per reel.
