The SMAJ17CA-E3/61 is a surface-mount TRANSZORB transient voltage suppressor from Vishay. It is designed for protection of sensitive electronics against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. This bidirectional device provides 400W peak pulse power dissipation (10/1000μs waveform) with a maximum clamping voltage of 27.6V at 14.5A peak pulse current. It features a glass passivated chip junction for reliability, very fast response time, and low incremental surge resistance.
