The Vishay Dale SMAJ170A-E3/61 is a surface-mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode, also known as a TRANSZORB®. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting.
This device features a nominal clamping voltage of 275V and a peak pulse power capability of 300W with a 10/1000 μs waveform. It has a working voltage range and breakdown voltage range suitable for various applications. The diode operates within a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C (TJ).
Packaged in a DO-214AC (SMA) case, the SMAJ170A-E3/61 is ideal for automated placement on printed circuit boards. Its glass-passivated chip junction ensures reliability. This TVS diode is suitable for use in consumer, computer, industrial, automotive, and telecommunication applications requiring protection on ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines.
Available in unidirectional configurations, it meets MSL level 1 standards. The terminals are matte tin-plated and solderable per J-STD-002.
