The Bourns SMAJ16A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in general-purpose applications. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 16 V and a maximum clamping voltage of 26 V at a peak pulse current of 15.3 A (10/1000 µs waveform). The device can handle 400 W of peak pulse power (tp=1 ms) and offers a peak forward surge current of 40 A (8.3 ms single half sine wave).
This TVS diode is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. The unidirectional design (suffix A) provides fast response times typical of Bourns SMAJ series devices.
The reverse standoff voltage (Vrwm) is 16 V.
The maximum clamping voltage is 26 V at a peak pulse current of 15.3 A.
The minimum peak pulse power is 400 W (tp=1 ms).
It is available in a surface-mount DO-214AC (SMA) package.
