The SMAJ16A-13-F is a 400W transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It is a unidirectional Zener-type TVS diode with a reverse standoff voltage of 16V and a maximum clamping voltage of 26V at a peak pulse current of 15.3A (8/20µs waveform). The device can handle a peak pulse power dissipation of 400W (10/1000µs waveform) and a forward surge current of 40A (8.3ms half sine wave).
This TVS diode features a fast response time and excellent clamping capability, making it suitable for general-purpose circuit protection applications. It is not intended for power line protection. The device is housed in a molded plastic DO-214AC (SMA) package with a matte tin finish, rated UL 94V-0 for flammability. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free, and has a moisture sensitivity level of 1 (unlimited).
The SMAJ16A-13-F is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 5000 pieces. Its operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C (junction). The approximate weight is 0.064 grams. This part is suitable for use in a wide range of electronic equipment requiring reliable overvoltage protection.
