The Vishay Dale SMAJ15A-E3/61 is a Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a low profile SMA (DO-214AC) package, making it ideal for automated placement on printed circuit boards.
This device offers a 15V reverse standoff voltage and a 24.4V clamping voltage at 15A. It is capable of handling 400W of peak pulse power with a 10/1000 μs waveform. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include protection against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting on ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines in consumer, computer, industrial, automotive, and telecommunication systems. Its fast response time and excellent clamping capability make it suitable for sensitive electronics protection.
The SMAJ15A-E3/61 is designed for surface mounting and is compatible with standard automated placement equipment. The terminals are matte tin plated and solderable per J-STD-002.
