The SMAJ15A-13-F from Diodes Incorporated is a 400W unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode, designed for general purpose circuit protection. It features a 15V standoff voltage and a clamping voltage of 24.4V at 16.4A peak pulse current. The device uses Zener technology for fast response to overvoltage events.
This TVS diode is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AC (SMA) package, suitable for automated assembly. It offers 1.0W steady state power dissipation and can handle 40A peak forward surge current (8.3ms). The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, making it suitable for harsh environments.
The part is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free with matte tin finish, and halogen-free (green). Moisture sensitivity level is Level 1 (unlimited). Standard packaging is 5000 units on tape and reel.
