The SMAJ13A-TR is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed for general purpose protection against voltage transients. Manufactured by STMicroelectronics, it offers a reverse standoff voltage of 13V and a maximum clamping voltage of 27.2V. The device can handle peak pulse currents up to 85A (8/20µs waveform) and dissipates 400W of peak pulse power. It is not intended for power line protection. The diode is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AC (SMA) package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The SMAJ13A-TR is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited). These characteristics make it suitable for protecting sensitive electronics in consumer, industrial, and communication applications.
