The SMAJ12A-13-F is a 400W peak pulse power transient voltage suppressor diode from Diodes Incorporated. It is designed for general purpose circuit protection and features a 12V reverse standoff voltage with a minimum breakdown voltage of 13.3V. The device clamps transient overvoltages to a maximum of 19.9V at a peak pulse current of 20.1A (10/1000µs waveform).
This unidirectional TVS diode is housed in a surface mount DO-214AC (SMA) package with lead-free matte tin finish terminals. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free, and has an MSL rating of Level 1 per J-STD-020. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include overvoltage protection in power supplies, communication equipment, and industrial control systems. The fast response time and glass passivated die construction ensure reliable clamping performance under transient conditions.
