The SMAJ11CA is a 400W bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a Zener technology junction with a clamping voltage of 18.2V at a peak pulse current of 22A (10/1000µs waveform). The device offers excellent clamping capability and fast response time typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to VBR min.
This TVS diode is ideal for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications. It meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection (30kV air/contact) and IEC 61000-4-4 EFT protection. The glass passivated junction ensures reliability, and typical leakage current is less than 1μA when VBR min >12V.
The SMAJ11CA is housed in a surface mount DO-214AC (SMA) package, suitable for compact PCB layouts. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and can be stored from -65°C to 175°C. Thermal resistance is 30°C/W junction-to-lead and 120°C/W junction-to-ambient. The device is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and Pb-free E3.
