The SMAJ110A is a 400W unidirectional Zener TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers a clamping voltage of 177V and a peak pulse current of 2.3A under a 10/1000µs waveform. The device is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package, suitable for space-constrained PCB layouts.
This TVS diode features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to the minimum breakdown voltage, ensuring rapid protection against transient events. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and a storage temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. The part is halogen free and lead-free plated, meeting RoHS requirements.
Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The SMAJ110A is not intended for power line protection.
