The SMAJ10CA is a 400W peak pulse power bi-directional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 10V and a maximum clamping voltage of 17V, with a peak pulse current rating of 23.5A under a 10/1000μs waveform. The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0 ps and provides ESD protection up to 30kV air and 30kV contact per IEC 61000-4-2, along with EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4.
This TVS diode is suitable for general purpose applications such as protecting I/O interfaces, Vcc bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It is housed in a surface mount DO-214AC (SMA) package with a matte tin termination finish. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and is RoHS compliant and halogen-free, with a flammability rating of V-0.
