The SMA6J18CA-TR is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode designed for transient voltage suppression. It is from STMicroelectronics and provides 600W peak pulse power capability.
With a reverse standoff voltage of 18V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 20V, it clamps transient voltages to a maximum of 33.2V. It can handle peak pulse currents up to 102A under 8/20µs waveform conditions.
This TVS diode is suitable for general purpose applications requiring protection against voltage transients. It is not intended for power line protection. The device operates over a wide temperature range from -55°C to 175°C.
The SMA6J18CA-TR is offered in a surface-mount DO-214AC (SMA) package, making it suitable for automated assembly. It is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited).
