The Vishay Dale SM8S43ATHE3/I is a Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for high-reliability applications, including automotive load dump protection. It features a junction passivation optimized design with anisotropic rectifier technology, enabling a Tj of 175°C.
This unidirectional TVS diode offers a working voltage (VWM) of 43V and a breakdown voltage (VBR) ranging from 11.1V to 52.8V. Its clamping voltage (VC) is 69.4V at 95.1A. The device boasts a high surge capability with a peak pulse power of 6600W (10 x 1000 μs) and 5200W (10 x 10000 μs), and a peak forward surge current (IFSM) of 700A.
Packaged in a DO-218AC surface mount case, the SM8S43ATHE3/I meets MSL level 1 requirements and is AEC-Q101 qualified. Its operating junction and storage temperature range is -55°C to +175°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.
