The SM8S26A-TP from Micro Commercial is a uni-directional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for robust protection in automotive applications. It offers a high peak pulse power dissipation of 6600W with a 10/1000μs waveform, making it suitable for surge protection.
This TVS diode operates with a working peak reverse voltage of 26V and has a maximum clamping voltage of 42.1V at a peak pulse current of 157A. The device features a low leakage current of 157μA at 26V VRWM and operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +175°C.
Packaged in a DO-218AB surface mount package, the SM8S26A-TP is AEC-Q101 qualified and meets ISO7637-2 5a surge specifications. Its glass passivated junction and epoxy construction meet UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, ensuring reliability and safety in demanding environments.
