This Vishay Dale SM8S26A-E3/2D is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed for surface mount applications. It provides overvoltage protection with a stand-off voltage of 26V and a breakdown voltage of 42.1V. The device can handle peak pulse power dissipation of 6600W under a 10/1000 µs waveform and 5200W under a 10/10000 µs waveform. The peak surge current is rated at 700A for an 8.3 ms half sine-wave. With a maximum power dissipation of 8W on an infinite heatsink at 25°C, it operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The DO-218AB package enables compact surface mount assembly.
