The SM8A27HE3/2D is a surface mount transient voltage suppressor diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed for high reliability automotive and industrial applications. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 22 V and a maximum clamping voltage of 40 V at peak pulse current.
This TVS diode delivers 6600 W of peak pulse power dissipation under a 10/1000 µs waveform and can handle a peak forward surge current of 700 A (8.3 ms single half sine-wave). It is AEC-Q101 qualified and operates over a junction temperature range of -55 °C to 175 °C.
