The SM712-TP is a bidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a reverse working voltage of 12V and a maximum clamping voltage of 21V at 5A (8/20µs). The device can handle peak pulse power up to 400W (8/20µs) and peak pulse current up to 13A.
This TVS diode provides robust ESD protection, meeting IEC 61000-4-2 standards with ±16kV contact and ±30kV air discharge ratings. It also offers EFT protection of 40A per IEC 61000-4-4. The junction capacitance is typically 45pF at 0V and 1MHz.
