The SM6T82CAY is a 600W bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed by STMicroelectronics for automotive applications. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 70V and a maximum clamping voltage of 146V at 27A peak pulse current (8/20µs). The device provides unidirectional protection for a single channel and is not intended for power line protection.
This TVS diode is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AA (SMB) package and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The minimum breakdown voltage is 77.9V. The SM6T82CAY is suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients in automotive environments.
