The SM6T6V8A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from STMicroelectronics designed for general-purpose circuit protection. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 5.8V and a clamping voltage of 13.4V, capable of handling 600W peak pulse power (8/20 µs waveform) with a peak pulse current of 298A.
This device is intended for surface-mount assembly and is supplied in the compact DO-214AA (SMB) package. Its unidirectional channel configuration makes it suitable for DC line protection where polarity is known. The operating junction temperature range spans -55°C to 150°C.
