The SM6T36AY from STMicroelectronics is a 600W Zener transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed for automotive applications. It provides circuit protection by clamping transient overvoltages to a safe level. The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 30.8V and a maximum clamping voltage of 64.3V at a peak pulse current of 62A (8/20µs waveform). Its peak pulse power rating is 600W tested with a 10/1000µs waveform.
This single unidirectional TVS diode is housed in a compact surface-mount DO-214AA (SMB) package suitable for automated assembly. With an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C, it can withstand harsh environments. The part is RoHS3 compliant (unverified) and designated for automotive applications.
