The SM6T30A is a unidirectional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) diode designed for general purpose circuit protection. It provides a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W (8/20µs) and a clamping voltage of 53.5V at a peak pulse current of 75A (8/20µs). The reverse standoff voltage is 25.6V, making it suitable for protecting 24V systems. This device is based on Zener technology and is not intended for power line protection. It is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package, which is compatible with standard SMD assembly processes. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C (junction). Typical applications include general purpose circuit protection in consumer, industrial, and automotive electronics where transient overvoltage protection is required.
