The SM6T24CA is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode from STMicroelectronics designed for transient voltage suppression in general-purpose applications. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 20.5V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 22.8V. The device clamps transient voltages to a maximum of 42.8V at a peak pulse current of 93A (8/20µs waveform). With a peak pulse power rating of 600W, it provides robust protection against voltage spikes.
This TVS diode is surface-mount packaged in a DO-214AA (SMB) case, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a wide temperature range from -55°C to 150°C. The bidirectional configuration allows protection for both positive and negative transients, making it ideal for AC lines or data lines where polarity is not fixed.
