The SM6T220CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed for general-purpose circuit protection. It provides a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W (10/1000μs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 10.3A under 8/20μs conditions. The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 188V and a clamping voltage of 388V.
This TVS diode is suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning, ESD, and switching events. It is not intended for power line protection. The bidirectional configuration allows it to clamp both positive and negative transients with a single device.
The SM6T220CA is offered in a surface-mount DO-214AA (SMB) package, enabling compact PCB layouts. It operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected, though compliance data is unverified.
