The SM6T15CA is a bidirectional TVS (transient voltage suppression) diode manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. The device offers a reverse standoff voltage of 12.8 V and a maximum clamping voltage of 27.2 V at a peak pulse current of 147 A (8/20 µs waveform). With a peak pulse power rating of 600 W, it is suitable for general purpose circuit protection applications. The component uses Zener breakdown technology and is configured as a single bidirectional channel for symmetrical protection. It is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package, enabling compact PCB layouts. The operating temperature range spans from -55°C to 150°C, ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments.
