The Vishay Dale SM5S33-E3/2D is a high-reliability Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for sensitive electronics protection. It features a 33V standoff voltage and a 59V clamping voltage at 10A.
With a high surge capability, this TVS diode can handle 3600W of peak pulse power for a 10x1000 μs waveform and 2800W for a 10x10000 μs waveform. It operates reliably at temperatures up to 175°C, making it suitable for automotive and high-reliability applications.
The device is housed in a DO-218AB surface mount package. Its junction passivation is optimized for high temperature stability and low leakage current. The SM5S series meets ISO7637-2 surge specifications and is AEC-Q101 qualified.
