The SM5059 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Diotec Semiconductor, designed for general purpose rectification. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward rectified current of 2A.
Electrical characteristics include a low forward voltage drop of less than 1.1V at 2A, low leakage current of less than 5µA at 25°C, and a typical reverse recovery time of 1500ns. It can handle peak forward surge current up to 55A (60Hz) and has a junction temperature range of -50°C to 175°C.
The diode is supplied in a surface mount MELF DO-213AB package with UL 94V-0 case material. It is available in tape and reel packaging with 5000 pieces per 13" reel. The MSL is level 1.
Applications include 50/60 Hz mains rectification, power supplies, and polarity protection. The device is compliant with RoHS (exempt. 7a), REACH, and Conflict Minerals.
