The SM4001 from Diodes Incorporated is a surface mount silicon rectifier, part of the SM4001 thru SM4007 series. It is ideal for surface mounted applications and features a glass passivated junction for reliability.
This rectifier has a maximum average forward rectified current of 1.0A at 75°C ambient temperature. Its voltage range spans up to 1000V for repetitive peak reverse voltage and DC blocking voltage. The peak forward surge current is rated at 20A for an 8.3ms single half sine-wave.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 1.1V at 1.0A DC and a low DC reverse current of 50µA at 25°C and 5mA at 125°C. The operating and storage temperature range is from -65°C to +175°C.
Packaged in a molded plastic case (SM-1/DO-213AB), the SM4001 is suitable for various mounting positions. Its terminals are solder plated and guaranteed to be solderable per MIL-STD-202E, Method 208. The polarity is indicated by a color band denoting the cathode end.
