The SM36.TCT is a surface-mount TVS diode from Semtech designed for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 36V and a maximum clamping voltage of 60V at 4A peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform). With a peak pulse power rating of 300W, this device is suitable for general-purpose ESD and surge protection.
This Zener-based TVS diode offers two unidirectional channels in a compact SOT23-3 package (also available as TO-236-3 or SC-59). It operates over a wide temperature range from -55°C to 125°C junction temperature. The device does not include power line protection, making it appropriate for signal line protection.
