The memory architecture includes 4KB L1P program cache, 4KB L1D data cache, and 256KB of L2 memory.

 

Connectivity is provided through a 32-bit external memory interface (EMIF) supporting glueless interfacing to various memory types, an Enhanced Direct Memory Access (EDMA) controller with 16 independent channels, and a 16-bit Host Port Interface (HPI). It also includes two Multichannel Audio Serial Ports (McASPs), two Multichannel Buffered Serial Ports (McBSPs), and two Inter-Integrated Circuit (I²C) bus interfaces. The device is suitable for applications requiring significant signal processing capabilities, particularly in audio and radar.
