The SM30T28AY is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed for automotive applications. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 24V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 26.7V. The device can clamp transient voltages up to 38.9V at a peak pulse current of 77.1A (10/1000µs waveform), with a peak pulse power rating of 3000W (3kW). It is not intended for power line protection. The SM30T28AY is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C.
