The SM16ML1S18 is a size 16 stamped and formed pin contact from Souriau-Sunbank by Eaton, part of the TRIM TRIO SM/SC-M series. It is designed for use with TRIM TRIO connectors and features a high-conductivity copper alloy body with a stainless steel retaining spring. The contact is gold plated with a thickness of 0.75 µm in the contact area and a flash on the crimp barrel over nickel.
This contact accommodates 16-18 AWG wire and uses an open barrel crimp termination. It is rated for 13 A current and provides a minimum contact retention force of 65 N. The individual insertion force is 3.5 N maximum, and the withdrawal force is 0.55 N minimum.
