SM15T6V8CA is a bidirectional Zener-based transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from STMicroelectronics, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W and a peak pulse current of 746A (8/20µs waveform). The reverse standoff voltage is 5.8V, with a maximum clamping voltage of 13.4V at peak pulse current. The minimum breakdown voltage is 6.8V.
This TVS diode is suitable for general purpose overvoltage protection applications. It is not intended for power line protection. The device is bidirectional, making it ideal for protecting AC lines or data lines where the signal can swing both positive and negative.
