The SM15T33CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed by STMicroelectronics for general-purpose circuit protection. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 28.2V and a clamping voltage of 59V, capable of handling peak pulse currents up to 169A (8/20µs waveform). With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W (1.5kW), this device provides robust protection against voltage transients.
This TVS diode is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package, suitable for automated assembly processes. It operates over a wide temperature range from -55°C to 150°C, making it suitable for demanding environments. The bidirectional configuration allows protection for circuits with both positive and negative voltage spikes.
Typical applications include general-purpose transient protection in power supplies, data lines, and communication equipment. The SM15T33CA is not intended for power line protection, as indicated by its specifications.
