The SM15T15AY is a 1500W automotive-grade Zener transient voltage suppression diode manufactured by STMicroelectronics. Designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients, it features a reverse standoff voltage of 12.8V and a maximum clamping voltage of 27.2V at a peak pulse current of 368A (8/20µs waveform).
This unidirectional TVS diode comes in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package and operates over a junction temperature range of -40°C to +150°C. It is specifically qualified for automotive applications and does not include power line protection.
The device is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected with an MSL 1 unlimited moisture sensitivity level. Its robust 1500W peak pulse power capability makes it suitable for protecting power supplies, automotive electronics, and industrial control systems from transient overvoltages.
