The SM15T12A is a unidirectional TVS diode from STMicroelectronics designed for general purpose circuit protection. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 10.2V and a maximum clamping voltage of 21.7V at 8/20µs test condition. The device can handle peak pulse currents up to 461A and peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W.
This TVS diode uses Zener technology for reliable overvoltage protection. It is not designed for power line protection. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, suitable for a wide range of environments.
