The Tempatron SLX4/005N is a liquid level sensor utilizing solid-state ferromagnetic technology to detect the presence of conductive liquids by sensing free ions. This sensor is ideal for applications where probe deposits can occur, such as with adhesives or in hard water areas.
This model operates on a 5VDC supply and features an NPN transistor output. It has a maximum output current of 50mA and an output voltage of up to 30VDC. The sensor provides full galvanic isolation and includes an integral 5-second delay to prevent nuisance switching. It requires two mutually isolated metallic probes, where the container itself can serve as one probe.
The sensor is designed for PCB mounting and has a housing made of ABS. It operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 65°C. The SLX4 model provides both high and low level sensing capabilities, with Output 1 conducting when the probe is out of liquid and Output 2 conducting when the probe is in liquid.
