The SLVU2.8-8A1 is an 8-channel bidirectional Zener clamping TVS diode array from STMicroelectronics, designed for protecting Ethernet interfaces against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient voltage events.
This device offers a reverse standoff voltage of 2.8V, a maximum clamping voltage of 15V, and can handle peak pulse currents up to 24A (8/20µs waveform) with a peak pulse power rating of 600W. It operates over a wide temperature range from -55°C to 150°C.
The SLVU2.8-8A1 is supplied in an industry-standard 8-SOIC surface mount package (3.90mm width). Its eight channels make it well-suited for protecting multiple data lines in Ethernet applications. The Zener clamping technology ensures fast response to overvoltage events.
