The SLD24U-017 is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., part of the SLD Series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from overvoltage transients such as inductive load switching and alternator load dump. The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 24 V and a clamping voltage of 38.9 V at a peak pulse current of 131.1 A (10/1000 μs waveform).
Peak pulse power dissipation is rated at 2200 W for a 10 ms x 150 ms waveform and 5000 W for a 10 μs x 1000 μs waveform. The diode offers a fast response time of less than 1.0 ps and provides ESD protection up to 30 kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2. It is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C.
The device is housed in a P600 axial leaded package with matte tin lead-free plating. It is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has UL recognized V-0 flammability rated case material. The SLD24U-017 is suitable for through-hole mounting and is ideal for high-reliability and automotive-grade overvoltage protection circuits.
