The SLD12U-017 is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, part of the SLD series. It features a 12V reverse standoff voltage and a maximum clamping voltage of 19.9V at a peak pulse current of 256.3A (10/1000µs exponential wave). The device can handle 5kW peak pulse power under the 10/1000µs waveform and 2200W under a 10ms x 150ms test waveform, making it suitable for high-energy transient protection. It also provides a peak forward surge current of 600A (8.3ms single half sine wave).
This diode utilizes Zener technology with a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to minimum breakdown voltage. It offers a typical temperature coefficient of 0.1%/°C and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. Thermal resistance is 8°C/W junction-to-lead and 40°C/W junction-to-ambient. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified and meets ISO7637 and ISO16750 load dump test requirements.
