The Littelfuse SL1002A230SM is a 2-pole Gas Discharge Tube Arrester (GDT) designed for robust protection against transient overvoltages. It features a 230V nominal operating voltage and a high surge capability of 5kA (8/20μs pulse), making it suitable for demanding applications.
This GDT offers ultra-low insertion loss and low capacitance (typically 1.2pF or less), ensuring minimal signal degradation up to 1.5GHz. It provides excellent response to fast rising transients and can meet stringent industry standards like Telcordia GR1089 and ITU-T Rec. K.21. The device is surface mountable and constructed with a ceramic insulator and dull tin-plated finish.
Key electrical characteristics include a DC breakdown voltage range of 184-276V, impulse breakdown voltages of 600-700V (@100V/µs) and 135V (@1kV/µs), and an arc voltage of approximately 135V @ 1A.
