The SL05T1G is a low capacitance TVS diode from On Semiconductor designed for ESD and surge protection in high-speed interfaces. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 5V and a clamping voltage of 11V, with a peak pulse power rating of 300W (8x20 µs). The device provides ESD protection meeting IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 (contact ±8kV, air ±16kV) and also meets IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) and IEC 61000-4-5 (lightning) standards.
With a typical capacitance of only 3.5pF at 1MHz, this diode is suitable for protecting high-speed data lines such as USB, HDMI, and Ethernet without signal degradation. The device is a single unidirectional channel, but bidirectional protection can be achieved by using two devices in series.
The SL05T1G is housed in a SOT-23-3 (TO-236) surface mount package, ideal for automated assembly. It supports a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The device is RoHS compliant, Pb-Free, and Halogen Free, with a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0. It is commonly used in automotive applications and other portable electronics.
